Oral Papers

If your paper has been accepted for presentation in an oral session, you will have 15 minutes available, including time for questions. It is wise to limit your presentation to 12-13 minutes if you wish to be able to have time for questions from the audience. [Note: Invited papers have 30 minutes rather than 15.]

Important: If you are using Power Point 2007, please check to ensure your presentation is compatible with Power Point 2003. The AV at the meeting will be Power Point 2003.

Overhead (transparency) projectors and laptops (Windows) with LCD projectors using PowerPoint will be available in all meeting rooms for MPA sessions. Allied groups (CTUP, Division 27, and Psi Chi) may only provide overhead projectors. If you are using PowerPoint, please arrive 5-10 minutes in advance of the session in which your paper is scheduled, and load your presentation on the the laptop provided on the table at the front of the room. This will make the transition from one paper to the next go most smoothly. You may bring a CD, or a memory stick, but not a zip disk or floppy.

Posters

Posters are to be mounted on a board whose dimensions are 68 3/4" wide (5 feet, 8.75 inches) and 44 3/4" high (3 feet, 8.75 inches). Your poster should be able to be mounted with push pins or tacks onto this space. Poster sessions are typically two hours in length. You should arrive about five minutes ahead of the session, and you should remove your poster when the time period is over.
