If you have questions about the annual meeting, please do not hesitate to contact the Secretary-Treasurer.
Unlike many similar regional conferences that move around the region, MPA is hosted in Chicago, Illinois every year (normally in the last week of April or early May). The meeting is held in the Palmer House Hilton.
Programming is on Thursday, Friday and a half-day on Saturday. The "future dates" menu under the "meeting" tab associated with this website indicates the dates for several years into the future. MPA offers affliated programs with Psi Chi (mainly on Thursday), APA Division 27, and CTUP.
Registration and all the sessions are contained within the Palmer House.
The Registration Desk is in the Upper Exhibit Hall on the 4th floor at the back of the room. Advance registration is encouraged. However, you need to go to the Registration Desk to pick up your badge. If asked, tell the security guards at the door to the Exhibit Hall that you are there to register.
The Registration Desk opens Thursday morning at 8 a.m. and is open daily at the times noted in the Program Book. At the registration desk you will receive a badge and the Program Book. The "registration" link under the "meeting" tab associated with this website provides full information regarding procedures and fees.
All attendees who are staying overnight are encouraged to secure the conference rate and for the Palmer House. The Palmer House is located in downtown Chicago a couple of blocks from Lake Michigan. Restaurants and shopping (from inexpensive to expensive) and activities are all within easy walking distance from the hotel and the hotel is near subway and elevated train routes.
The "travel" link under the "meeting" tab associated with this website provides air travel information and the information on securing lodging at the hotel.
Be aware that parking associated with Palmer House or nearby is very expensive - averaging approximately $25 a day.
The Program Book is available online in pdf version. The Program Book is usually ready by late February. Inside the book is a map of the Palmer House meeting rooms, descriptions of each program and more detailed information about the meeting.
